"All you Touch all you See all your Life will ever Be"
This is the heaviest Indian buffalo breed. They grow in the forests of Gir, in the districts of Kutch and Jamnagar in Gujarat. The horns are heavy, they lean towards the sides of the neck and then they turn to the top (fallen horns). The animals are kept mainly by traditional breeders, the so-called Maldharis, who are nomadic. Bullocks are heavy and are used for plowing and transporting. The average milk yield is 1000 to 1200 kg per lactation.
